Summary:
In this book we see the beginning transformation into an industrial society. The Ottoman Empire was invaded by India. At the very beginning the Indians used new technology, mainly the hot air balloon and the steam engine. The Indians crushed the Ottoman Empire. When the Sultan was fleeing his palace, Ismal the doctor stayed behind and became a prisoner of war of India. The beginning chapter(s) mark the beginning of an industrialist age in India. Ismal works undercover with the Japanese to scatter the Chinese in North America, primarily the “Gold Coast” or California.
